Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 30 September 2026
1. Who you're dealing with
Lapanza 3D Creative Lab ("Lapanza", "we", "us", "our") is a partnership trading under this name, owned and operated by Johan Barkhuizen and Linandi Barkhuizen.
- Physical address: 23 Gladiator Rd, Pierre van Ryneveld, Centurion, Gauteng, South Africa
- Email: lapanzaonline@gmail.com
- Phone / WhatsApp: 082 663 9608
We are not registered for VAT — all prices shown on this website are final prices in South African Rand (ZAR) with no VAT added.
2. Accepting these terms
By using this website or placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions, our Privacy Policy, and our Returns & Refunds Policy. If you don't agree with any part of these terms, please don't use the site or place an order. You must be 18 or older, or have a parent/guardian's permission, to buy from us.
3. Made-to-order products vs. ready stock
This matters for your legal rights, so we want to be upfront about it:
- Printed products (toys, homeware, phone cases, car parts, and any custom or commissioned piece) are printed to order once you check out — we don't hold finished stock of these. Because they're custom-made to your order, South African law (the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act) does not give you a right to cancel simply because you've changed your mind once printing has started. See our Returns Policy for exactly what this means and what your rights still are if something arrives faulty or damaged.
- Filament spools are ready stock — physical rolls we already hold. These are covered by the standard 7-day cooling-off cancellation right described in our Returns Policy.
4. Orders, pricing & payment
Placing an order is an offer to buy — we accept it once we confirm your order by email and (where applicable) receive payment. We accept card payments (including Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, SnapScan and Zapper) and, where offered at checkout, Instant EFT via Payfast, manual EFT (order confirmed once we've verified the payment), and cash on collection where we've made that option available to you.
We try hard to keep prices, stock levels and descriptions accurate, but mistakes happen — a filament colour selling out between your click and checkout, or a pricing error on the site. If that happens, we'll contact you before processing anything, and you can accept the correction, choose an alternative, or cancel for a full refund. We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order for reasons like this, suspected fraud, or an item genuinely being unavailable.
5. Shipping & delivery
We deliver within South Africa only. We offer courier delivery (priced by weight), PUDO locker / local delivery options, your own arranged courier, and collection from us by appointment, depending on what's available at checkout. We don't deliver outside South Africa: customers outside South Africa can choose "I'll arrange my own courier" at checkout and have their courier collect from us in Centurion — that courier's cost, customs and import duties are the customer's responsibility. Delivery times shown at checkout are estimates, not guarantees — printing and finishing custom pieces takes real time, and courier delays are outside our control. Risk in the goods (e.g. loss or damage in transit) passes to you once we hand them to the courier or you collect them; ownership passes to you once we've received payment in full.
6. Cancellations, returns & faulty goods
Full detail — including the 7-day cooling-off right on filament, our defect/damage process, and what's excluded — is in our Returns & Refunds Policy, which forms part of these terms. Nothing here or there limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, including the implied warranty that goods will be free of defects for six months from delivery.
7. Design work & intellectual property
Files you upload with a design or print request are confidential. We use them solely to quote and produce your request, do not share them with third parties, and do not reuse your designs for other customers. Uploaded files are automatically deleted 12 months after a request is finalized, as described in our Privacy Policy; you may request earlier deletion at any time.
Once you've paid for and received a printed item, it's yours to keep and use. Unless we've expressly agreed otherwise in writing (for example, a paid custom-design commission where we agree to hand over the design file), we retain ownership and copyright in any 3D model, design, photo, or other creative work we produce — you're buying the physical object, not the underlying design file. If you send us your own design, photo or file to print, you confirm you have the right to use it and to have it printed, and you keep whatever rights you already had in it.
Everything else on this website — text, layout, photography, and the Lapanza name and branding — belongs to us or our licensors and may not be copied or reused without permission.
8. Liability
We're a small, hands-on operation and we take reasonable care in everything we make and ship. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss (like lost profits or lost time) arising from your use of this website or a product you've bought from us. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any right or protection you have under the Consumer Protection Act that can't lawfully be excluded.
9. Your information
We collect and use personal information (like your name, address and contact details) to process your order and run this website. How and why is explained fully in our Privacy Policy.
10. Complaints & disputes
If something's gone wrong, please contact us first at lapanzaonline@gmail.com — most things are quicker to sort out directly. If we can't resolve it between us, you're entitled to refer a consumer complaint to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud, or to the National Consumer Commission. These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, and any legal proceedings will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time — for example, as our product range or shipping options change. The version in force is whatever's published on this page when you place your order. We'll update the "last updated" date above whenever we make a change.
